I just think this is such a great photo, one that captures the moment exquisitely.

Unfortunately, it more than likely won't. If not this election, then certainly in 2010.

There is a movement to get a ballot initiative to amend the California constitution. It looks like they may have enough signatures to get it on the ballot, and if they do, it will likely pass. The law that got overturned passed with a 63% majority, and all you need is a simple majority to win.

So unfortuantely, this will probably be short lived.

I know about the measure, but didn't know if it would make it to the ballot. I guess there'll be rush of people applying for marriage licenses until then. Oregon went through this a couple of years ago.

They were really close to having the required amount to get it on the ballot in February. I'm not sure if they have it now or not.
